Funeral Services Set
For Former Faculty Member

Funeral services for William G. Bailey, former associate professor in the Information Services division of the Newton Gresham Library at Sam Houston State University, are scheduled for Wednesday in Houston.

Bailey, who worked at SHSU from 1977 to 1993, died suddenly Saturday, November 29.

Bailey's writing interests included such diverse topics as police, longevity, and Americans in Paris. He held a master of arts degree in English and American literature from the University of Houston, and a master of library science degree from the University of Texas at Austin.

Bailey left Sam Houston State to pursue a career in writing and publishing. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, at the Settagast-Koff Funeral Home on Kirby Drive in Houston.
