Beassie Named Legal, Mediation Services Director

Rhonda S. Beassie

Rhonda S. Beassie has been named director of SHSU Students’ Legal and Mediation Services, effective July 1.

Beassie comes to SHSU from the University of Houston Law Center, where she served as assistant dean for career development for six years. Before that, she was an assistant clinical professor at the University of Houston Law Center for six years and worked as a lead litigation paralegal.

Along with 13 years of experience in Texas law and legal studies, Beassie holds a Juris Doctorate from the University of Houston Law Center, graduating cum laude, and has managed over $2 million in residential assets.

Her office is located in Lowman Student Center Room 330.
