SEC Campaign In Final Weeks
Oct. 13, 2014
SHSU Media Contact: Julia May
SHSU employees have until Nov. 7 to make a contribution to the 2014 State Employees Charitable Campaign.
The SECC gives each employee an opportunity to support a favorite charity or charities on a regular basis, with each donor controlling to whom funds are given, as well as how much is given and when. Contributions may be made as a onetime gift or through payroll deductions.
The SECC is the only campaign that is authorized to be conducted for charitable organizations on the SHSU campus. Eleven local charities are among those to which employees can donate.
A mass e-mail was sent out across campus last month providing a link to the 2014 Directory of Charities on the MySam employees tab at the bottom of the Employees Extras box. The campaign area for Walker County is the Texas Pine Belt.
Employees can obtain a pledge form by contacting SHSU’s SECC committee representative Kelly Bielamowicz at krenee@shsu.edu or calling 936.294.1973.
