SW Bell Gives $3,000

Southwestern Bell Telephone has given SHSU $3,000 for scholarships in the College of Business Administration's Department of Economics and International Business. Mitch Thames, center, director of external affairs for Southwestern Bell, presented a check for that amount to Bobby K. Marks, left, SHSU president, on a recent campus visit. Gary Bouse, right, executive director for university advancement, said Southwestern Bell has supported economics scholarships at Sam Houston State since 1988.
