Construction Begins
On University/City Golf Course
Sam Houston State University and City of Huntsville officials gathered Monday to break ground for the new university/city golf course to be located just north of the hospital and just west of I45. Participants included, from left, Bill Green, Huntsville mayor; James F. Gaertner, SHSU president; Ron Matthews, course construction manager; James Hayley, member of the SHSU board of regents; Bobby K. Marks, SHSU president emeritus; and Tripp Davis, course architect.
