Frank Robinson/Entergy Contribute To President's Discretionary Fund
Former County Judge Frank Robinson and Entergy Thursday presented checks for $1,000 each to be used in the Sam Houston State University President's Discretionary Fund. Robinson worked for Gulf States Utilities, which became Entergy, while earning his Sam Houston State degree. Entergy's Stan Foley said the company encourages contributions to SHSU by past and present employees and will match them. James F. Gaertner, SHSU president, said such contributions help SHSU attain excellence not possible though state appropriations alone. Participants in the presentation were, from left, Gaertner, Robinson, Foley, and Gary A. Bouse, vice president for university advancement.
