Adams still holds the record for solo tackles in a single game, with 15. He is 3rd and 5th in season tackles, with 139 and 127, second in career tackles with 383, and third in quarterback sacks with 17. He has worked in production and manufacturing management, owns the Bearkat Contracting company, and works for the D'Marc Medical home medical equipment company in De Soto.

In 1981 Harmening set a Bearkat record with five field goals in a game against Howard Payne, a record which was tied in 1991. His 53-yard field goal against Howard Payne is second longest in SHSU history, and he ranks fourth in career field goals with 25, third in career extra points with 62, and fourth in career kicking points with 137. He has worked as a commercial building inspector and is now an assistant golf pro at the Pine Crest Golf Club in Houston.

In 1974 Kainer struck out 20 opposing batters in one game, and his 239 career strikeouts rank second all-time. He led his 1974 and 1975 teams in strikeouts, compiling records of 11-3 and 11-4, and his 28 career wins ranks third. He was named to the NAIA all-tournament team in 1975, and that year was a team captain. He was employed by the Amoco Production Co. and now the BP energy company, and lives in Tomball.

He was all-conference in 1986 and 1987 and an all-America selection in 1987. He also set completion percentage records for a single game (88.2 percent), season 55.9 percent) and career (56.9 percent), and was the team's most valuable player in 1986 and 1987. He has worked for the McLennan County Juvenile Probation department and now the Office of Inspector General of the Texas Department of Human Services investigation division in Dallas. The Hall of Honor induction banquet is scheduled for 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 26, in the Lowman Student Center Ballroom.
