Have You Seen Our New Billboard?

Sam Houston State University's first billboard is now on display in The Woodlands area.

The billboard is located along the southbound feeder road, north of the Rayford-Sawdust exit near The Woodlands.

Information on the billboard provides the unversity's toll free 866-BEARKAT phone number, as well as the university's website. The billboard is 12 feet by 36 feet and is illuminated from dusk until midnight.

"We were very interested in a Woodlands location to catch all the traffic that goes into Houston to work, or travels to the Mall area," said Paula Vernick, assistant to the president for special projects.

"This particular location generates over 100,000 cars per day," she said.

University officials are also looking to possibly locate additional billboards at other sites in the Houston and Dallas areas.
