Homecoming Activities 2002

Bearkats are gearing up for the Oct. 26 football game against McNeese State with a week full of activitites. All are invited to take a trip down in support of the Bearkats. Check out the activities for Homecoming 2002.

21 Kickoff Rally: 11:45 a.m. in the LSC Mall. The dance team, cheerleaders, and band will be on hand as the homecoming king and queen candidates are introduced. For more information, call the Department of Student Activities at 936.294.3861.

22 Organizations Fair: 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. in the LSC Mall. Various organizations will have tables and will visit with potential members. For more information, call the Department of Student Activities at 936.294.3861.
Society of Success and Leadership presents John Crudele and his message titled "Living as a Leader: Playing on a Higher Plane": Crudele is an internationally known author and speaker with humurous insights and a powerful delivery. He hosted his own national talk radio show, and audiences are drawn to his words such that he is frequently asked to make guest appearances on TV. John addresses sensitive issues with compassion and conviction - his audiences are moved by his stories, attracted to his authenticity, and challenged by his honesty. Audience members literally both laugh and cry during his presentation as they begin to gather a clearer sense of their values, the reality of their choices, and as they discover their courage to face many of life's most challenging issues. 23 Sam Jam Carnival and M4 simulator: 8 p.m. in the Johnson Coliseum parking lot. There will be free food, drinks, giveaways, along with the M4 simulator and other inflatables. For more information, call the Department of Student Activities at 936.294.3861.

26 Rec Sports 5K Raven Run Rescheduled: The 5K Raven Run scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 26, has been rescheduled for Saturday, Nov. 9, due to predicted thunderstorms. Entries will be taken until Thursday, Nov. 7 for the rescheduled date. If you have already registered and cannot participate on the new date, please contact Recreational Sports at 936.294.1985.

Texas Outlaw Music Festival with Robert Earl Keen: Keen, a texas country music star, will be on hand as the Texas Outlaw Music Festival returns to the Walker County Fairgrounds. Festivities will begin at 7 p.m.
