Tailgate Party to Kick Off
Bearkat Football at Bowers Stadium

Events will take place from 4 to 6 p.m. in the parking lot outside Bowers Stadium.

"Building on the success from last year, we hope by providing exciting entertainment such as live music, ROTC's rock wall, children's activities and food, that our students, alumni, faculty and staff will conclude that this is the place to be for Bearkat fans," said Kevin Hayes, director of the SHSU Alumni Association.

The concert series is sponsored by the association and KSAM radio station. The Mixed Review, a local band featuring several SHSU alumni, will be the guest band on Saturday. They will play Texas music and more, according to Hayes.

Among the tailgate events featuring SHSU and community groups and organizations will be a children's moonwalk, Bearkat face painting, and the ROTC rock climb.

The SHSU alumni tent will offer food and beverages.

Kickoff time for the Bearkat vs. Midwestern State football game is 6 p.m. For more information, contact the SHSU Alumni Relations Office at 936.294.1841.
