You're Invited to Travel With SH

Sam Houston State University is kicking off a new program - Travel with SH, with special tours designed to offer unique itineraries filled with exclusive, quality opportunities.

The December 4-7, 2003, Chicago trip is a great example of the unusual attractions offered by Travel with SH.

Tour Chicago with 20 fellow Sam Houston State University alumni and friends and stay at the first Hilton hotel, the Palmer House. This tour was scheduled around the traveling exhibit, "Manet and the Sea" at the Art Institute.

Next, join Bill Hinchcliff, an architectural historian with degrees from Yale and Georgetown universities, for two tours. The first is his "Birth of the Skyscraper" tour. The second tour features three Frank Lloyd Wright masterpieces. There are a few seats available for this trip. The application deadline is October 1, 2003.

Destinations for 2004 include opportunities to cruise the North Atlantic fall foliage, dive and swim in the Gulf waters, explore Mexican Indian markets and cathedrals, take an African safari, ride the Colorado River rapids through the Grand Canyon, take an art course at the Hermitage in St. Petersburg, see a Broadway show, hike Peruvian Inca trails, stroll through English country manor gardens, soak in Santa Fe, watch a live volcano spit fire in Costa Rica, wander through Irish country castles or Greek temples, and follow Charles Darwin to the Galapagos Islands.

An online survey of the 2004 Travel with SH destinations invites input from travel enthusiasts and provides information about specific destinations. Contact Travel with SH by e-mail. Travel with SH Alumni and Friends, Box 2477, Huntsville, TX 77341; or call 936.294.4725 (toll free 866.BEARKAT, x-4725).
