Beta Gamma Sigma, an international business honor society
which was established in 1913 to honor academic achievement
in business, inducted 52 Sam Houston State University students
and two professors into the James E. Gilmore Chapter of the
organization on April 14.
Roland Hendricks, a 1980 SHSU accounting graduate who is currently

“It’s an international organization, just for
colleges of business. They have criteria they look at when
offering accreditation,” said Ameen. This includes the
college’s student-teacher ratio, resources, faculty
research, and other factors.
