youngest military officers, newly-commissioned 2nd Lt.
Gerald M. Stoermer (right) and his grandfather, a World
War II veteran, ceremonially cut the cake during the
December 2006 Bearkat Battalion Commissioning Ceremony
on Friday afternoon. Stoermer, Marcus A. Douglas, Aaron
S. Blackstone and Gonzalo Correa were all commissioned
as second lieutenants in the U.S. Army during the event.
