Freshman Wins Free Spring Tuition

Freshman photography major Allison Ulrich
(center) was surprised in her English class this morning
when
the Alumni Association announced that she was the winner
of the 2007 Alumni Tuition Raffle, a $2412 prize
that will give her 18 free hours for the spring 2008 semester.
Helping award Ulrich her check were from
left) Sammy the Bearkat, university president Jim Gaertner,
Alumni Association president John
McManners and Texas State University System regent and
SHSU alumna Trisha Pollard, who came up
with the idea for the tuition raffle last year. Profits
from the program benefit Alumni Association
scholarships. |
